The City of Toronto today launched the 2019 Toronto’s Greenest Choice campaign, inviting residents to vote for the places, spaces and businesses that are helping to make Toronto one of the greenest cities in North America.
Residents can vote for their favourite farmers’ market, second-hand shop, bike shop, local craft brewery, park, hiking trail, wildlife and more – 27 categories in all. The winner in each category will be determined by vote count, with voting open until November 11. The winners will be announced on November 18.
“Toronto is one of the greenest cities in the world, with hundreds of businesses that sell green products and services, world-class beaches and parks, urban gardens, bike paths, hiking trails and more. I encourage Toronto residents to cast your votes and show us what you love about our great, green city,” said Mayor John Tory.
