Make a difference in your community by participating in the Mindful Butterfly Fundraiser on August 10 from 11-4 p.m.
This health and wellness based family fundraiser is presented by Sarah Garner from the Royal LePage, the Canadian real estate company with its own charity committed to raising funds for womens’ shelters and violence protection programs. The shelter foundation has raised 30 million dollars so far to support 200 local shelters.
The funds from this inspiring event will be donated directly towards The Redwood Shelter, with the remaining 20 per cent towards outreach, youth education on domestic violence across Canada.
Sarah Garner explains, “The Mindful Butterfly is an all ages fundraiser aimed at being a healing, teaching and joyful event. It’s full of fun and exciting activities, and reminds us all that healing begins with health, wellness and personal care. As a 12 year donor to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation and more specifically The Redwood shelter, I really wanted to create an event that would speak to the impact The Redwood shelter has on its residents. The Redwood nurtures, protects and provides families with a safe haven where they can learn vital skills and begin to put their lives back on track after the crippling effects of domestic violence.”
There are many activities and workshops planned including face painting, yoga, kombucha making, a silent auction and much more at United Boxing Club, 1034 Bloor St W, Toronto.
The tickets are $5 for adults, and free for children 12 and under. Enjoy positive wellness based activities while raising awareness about domestic violence, and helping to change the lives of thousands of women and children in Canada.
