Toronto police are requesting the public’s assistance after a shooting in the city early Saturday morning.
Investigators are hoping someone can help them identify the suspects and released a security image of a newer red four-door Lexus they believe was involved in the shooting.
Police officers responded to a call at 12:54 a.m., Apr. 13, in the King Street and West and Brant Street area. It’s alleged a 25-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk when he became involved in a verbal altercation with occupants of a car. Police said four shots were fired at him and he was struck twice.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The vehicle, with three occupants, fled the scene and were last seen heading westbound on King Street and then southbound on Portland Street.
