The Toronto Police Gun and Gang Task Force busted two men and two women who, they allege, were involved in an illicit drug and firearm ring.
The officers’ investigation into the individuals resulted in multiple searches being carried out on homes and in vehicles in North York, Scarborough and Markham on Tuesday.
Among the items seized a loaded 40 caliber semi-automatic handgun, 700 grams of cocaine and 170-thousand dollars in proceeds from crime.
A 29-year-old man from Markham and a 26-year-old man from Toronto, as well two women from Toronto, ages 30 and 24, have been charged on numerous counts including unauthorized possession of a firearm. They all appeared at the Old City Hall court last Wednesday to face their charges.
