Fashion Art Toronto 2019 explores the idea of movement in fashion

From April 24th to 28th 2019, the 14th edition of Fashion Art Toronto returns for five evenings of events that showcase contemporary art and design through runway shows, live performances, fashion films, art installations, and photography. The event features 200 Canadian and International designers and artists and draws crowds of buyers and curators, media, bloggers, and fashion lovers each year. Shows and performances will take place each evening from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm at Daniels Spectrum (585 Dundas Street East).

The theme for this years edition of Fashion Art Toronto is “Movement”, a theme which explores the social, political, and cultural forces that shape ideas and propel creativity. Fashion Art Toronto works to redefine our modern conception of the fashion industry.

Known for being inclusive and providing a platform for artists of all backgrounds, Fashion Art Toronto states that “this year’s event will feature a range of diverse perspectives on the runway, from emerging and established talent, including new Canadians and indigenous designers, designers who create genderless/universal garments, and designers with a focus on sustainability.”

Fashion, art, and film lovers who are interested in attending Fashion Art Toronto’s array of provocative shows and exhibits should purchase tickets online before April 23rd. A Day Pass or General Admission Ticket is $42.60 if purchased online in advance, or $50 at the door. Full week passes and student pricing are also available.
